Forest Resources Depletion: An Ecological Model for Biodiversity Preservation and Conservation in Cote D’Ivoire

The biodiversity-rich primary forest of Cote d’Ivoire has been substantially converted into a mosaic secondary forests, cash and lumber plantations, food crops, timber wasteland. Deforestation started even before independence but increased dramatically in the last three decades, resulting loss most country’s biodiversity. It is essential to have information about condition natural resources following many human pressures. This research aimed examine Phytogeographical zones understand state wood’s ad wildlife 2020 anthropic pressure on whole Ivorian land. Land-Use Planner approach used as tool for creating model preserving There are 15 endangered tree species recognized, five each phytogeographical zone. Buffaloes seen distributed West north d’Ivoire, duikers observed nearly all zones, elephants North. At same time, harnessed guibs dispersed across nation, according findings. In terms species, frequent trees south Strombosia pustulata (6.2%), Diospyros mannii (5.1%), Protomegabaria stapfiana (3.7%), Musanga cecropiodes (3.6%), Xylopia quintasii (3.2%). Middle Tectona grandis accounts (11.8%), Nesogordonia papaverifera (4.2%), Cedrela odorata Gmelia Arborea (2.8%). North, Isoberlinia doka (10.3%), Upaca togoenisis 8.9%, Anogeisssus leicarpa Pterocarpus erinaceus (4.6%), Pericopsis laxiflora (3.9%). reforested woods, volume merchantable wood P1, P2, P3 categories per hectare more significant than wild forests. We find that biodiversity severely endangered. Endemic decreased due activities like agriculture logging, which root causes deforestation animal plant loss.
